The Granville Senior Center proudly announces a new art exhibit. The installation of a hanging system allows the Center to display two-dimensional art throughout its hallways and activity rooms. This is part of the vision of making Granville into an art destination and spread art throughout the community.
The first show is by Jurgen Pape, chair of the Granville Arts Commission and member of the Center. His "RefleXion" photos highlight the ephemeral reflections of buildings in buildings which may be subtly sensed but seldom seen. These photos capture the constantly changing juxtaposition of buildings by transcending architectural rigidity.
Come see this exhibit especially if you haven't visited the Granville Senior Center; you don't have to be a senior to do so.
The Land of Legends Woodcarvers has provided a display in the Center to showcase some of their best woodcarvings. Senior Center member Bob Hull and woodcarver has been an active participant in Legends Woodcarvers since 2000. They have done woodcarving shows at the Indian Mound Mall, Dawes Arboretum, Infirmary Mound Park as well as other locations and events in Licking County. They also compete in woodcarving contests throughout the State of Ohio and the Midwest. Come and see their work in the display case in our Great Room.
A Big "THANK YOU" TO........
An annonymous donor who gave the Center $2,500 to purchase new blinds for our facility. The blinds will not only help with blocking out the light for Movie Night, but will also spruce up our Great Room and Activity Room! Thanks to our very special member of Granville Senior Center for this generous donation!
Kirsten Pape for cleaning up the flower beds and pots at the Center Entrance, and planing some beautiful flowers for us all to enjoy. Your labor of love is greatly appreciated.
